Physical Condition Many of the receipts are badly eaten around the edges by insects and rodents but still readable.
Conservation Receipts were removed from the original Receipt book which was badly deteriorated with mould and rodent infestation. Receipts were frozen and cleaned prior to housing them in the archives.

Scope & Content File consists of receipts and correspondance between the Anglo American Cannery and businesses in regards to supplies, equipment,shipping and debts owed by fishermen. Business receipts included are from; Royal City Planing Mills in New Westminster, Thomas Dunn & Co. hardware in Vancouver, J. Leckie ( merchandiser of fish nets and ropes) in Vancouver, Marshall Smith ( grocer) in Ladner, the steamer Robert Dunsmuir, Canadian Pacific Railway and different accounts with canneries along the Fraser River including; The Brunswick Cannery, Pacific Coast Cannery in Steveston and the Currie McWilliams Cannery, B.C. Packers correspondance regarding fishermen indebted to the Anglo American cannery dated May 23, 1905 and a Fraser Canners Association price for fish dated June 27, 1900.
