History/Biographical The Delta Museum was officially opened in 1969 with the archives opening in 1979. The mandate of the archives is to acquire, organize and preserve historical records of Delta. The archives holds a variety of records that document the social, economic, political, cultural and community life of Delta. These records originate from individuals, families, businesses, community groups and the municipality.
Scope & Content The fonds includes photographs donated by local residents and collectors. The fonds documents the diverse and eclectic past of Delta including pioneers, heritage buildings, agricultural scenes, fishery and cannery scenes, street scenes, local organizations, and businesses.
